Land Rover Specialist 4WARD4X4 Equipment
4WARD4X4 Allradservice & Equipment was founded in 1998 by Stephan Dennig in Bühl, Baden, Germany. What began with a specialization in four-wheel-drive vehicles has developed over the years into a company combining professional workshop services, vehicle engineering, off-road conversions, spare parts and its own range of accessories and technical solutions.
An important milestone followed in 2005: Together with master automotive technician Eugen Piewen, the workshop division was established and the range of services offered by 4WARD4X4 was significantly expanded. This created a combination of professional workshop expertise, many years of experience with four-wheel-drive vehicles and the development of individual technical solutions for demanding applications.
From a Specialist Workshop to a 4×4 Competence Centre
What initially began with a strong focus on Land Rover vehicles continued to develop over the years. With growing experience, 4WARD4X4 also completed projects involving other vehicle brands, off-road vehicles, expedition vehicles and vehicles designed for demanding off-road applications.
Simply replacing individual components has never been the primary focus. Since its early years, 4WARD4X4 has followed the principle of considering technical modifications as part of an integrated vehicle system. Suspension, drivetrain, vehicle protection, wheels and tyres, recovery equipment, electrical systems and other components must work together and be appropriate for both the vehicle and its intended use.
This practical experience gained from workshop operations, vehicle conversions and off-road engineering continues to shape 4WARD4X4 today.
Experience Meets Technical Development
The objective of 4WARD4X4 is to improve the safety, reliability and long-term durability of four-wheel-drive and off-road vehicles. Vehicles operating under demanding conditions place very different requirements on components and technical concepts compared with vehicles used primarily for normal road driving.
Whether for long-distance travel, overlanding, expeditions, demanding off-road use or individually configured vehicle builds, modifications are designed around the vehicle’s actual intended purpose. Experience gained through many years of workshop operations and numerous completed vehicle projects is incorporated directly into both consultation and implementation.
Individual customer requirements have therefore always been part of the DNA of 4WARD4X4. Rather than relying on standard off-the-shelf solutions, the key question is: What does this vehicle need to be capable of, and which technical solution makes the most sense?
The 4WARD4X4 Philosophy
A great deal has changed since the company was founded in 1998. Vehicles have become increasingly complex, electronic systems have complemented traditional mechanical engineering, and the requirements relating to vehicle approval, safety and automotive technology have continued to increase.
However, the fundamental philosophy of 4WARD4X4 has remained unchanged.
We continue to focus on what our name has represented for decades: innovation, quality, technical expertise and practical solutions.
New technologies are used where they provide a genuine advantage. At the same time, we continue to rely on proven engineering principles, high-quality components and technical solutions designed to perform reliably even under demanding conditions.
4WARD4X4 represents more than 25 years of experience in four-wheel-drive vehicles, off-road engineering, vehicle conversions and individual 4×4 projects – founded and grown in Bühl in southwestern Germany.
